Do you ever wonder how you can make your workout efficient? Well her are some tips and tricks to stay fit.

Exercising can give you the ability to stay healthy, give you energy, and have more agility. Ashley Williamson, a freshman competitive swimmer says, “My favorite workouts are swimming and running because they make me happy and I feel accomplished.” Ashley also says she thinks these are good workouts for everyone because, “You don’t have to be a good athlete to do them, and in the end you feel you have succeeded in something.

There are many healthy snacks; the website Popsugar.com suggested a fresh bowl of fruit, baby carrots, celery sticks, and fried edamame. Grayson Bruce, junior, agrees with the idea that fruit is a very healthy food choice. Grayson says “I love eating fresh fruit during the summer”.  Maddie Nobles, freshman, says her favorite healthy food is “salad,” which is very good for you.

You may be on top of eating healthy all week, but you might have slipped off the bandwagon by eating one or two cookies. That’s okay though because everybody has a cheat day.

Although, senior Kimi Wilcox worksout five times a week, every week, she still has a guilty pleasure which is “Ice-cream”. Who doesn’t like ice cream?

If you are like Grayson or Maddie and like to work out at a gym, you could join the local gym, Evans Fitness Center (EFC), where you are sure to see plenty of familiar Greenbrier faces ranging from students to staff.  If working out isn’t your thing, you could workout like Reagan.  Freshman, Reagan Clegg is a softball player and says “I hang a punching bag in my backyard and I also go the the Riverside Park to practice my fielding”.

Switching up your daily routing is also a great idea. You could  do different workouts for an hour or two. Such as run for thirty minutes,  do twenty-five leg raises, twenty bicycle crunches, fifteen push-ups, and a one minute plank. Etc. You could change that work out to fit your own agility.

As you can see you can do many things to stay fit. There are also many healthy recipes for meals and snacks that can be found all over the internet.
