While many GHS students were chilling at the pool this summer, Senior Jordan Faircloth and Freshman Kinnley Coffmin were on very exciting vacations. “The best part about summer is definitely the traveling and going on vacations,” says Kinnley. She traveled to Spain, Italy, Rome, and Monaco for her summer vacation. While visiting the beautiful countries, she went to the leaning Tower of Pisa, cruised, attended a ball room show in Lavinia, tried delicious authentic Italian food, and of course went on tours around the gorgeous countries she traveled to. “One of my favorite parts about the trip was seeing all of the beautiful buildings, visiting the Trevi Fountain, and getting a chance to talk and dance with one of the dancers who performed in the ball room dance show that I attended,”  said Kinnley.

While Kinnley explored Rome, Italy, Spain, and Monaco, Senior Jordan Faircloth relaxed in Turks and Caicos. In Turks and Caicos Jordan visited a private island  to go snorkeling, went to Iguana Island, and relaxed on the beach and swam in the clear blue water. “The scenery in Turks and Caicos was so beautiful and the people there were so nice, and of course the food was amazing,” said Jordan.

Some GHS students were fortunate enough to travel to far away destinations, while others explored the fun things to do around their own hometown. No matter which one was your vacation this summer, both create memorable experiences to last a life time.

Feel free to comment where you went for your summer vacation and share any interesting photos of your summer fun to be considered for use in the yearbook!
